Strawberry Shortcake

  • 4 pints strawberries (cleaned and cut up)
  • 4 roll out pie crust (2 come in a box at Wal-Mart)
  • Sugar
  • butter

Mash strawberries (I put mine in the mixer and just let it beat while I make the pie crust or just use an old fashion hand masher). Add sugar to berries till desired sweetness at least 1 1/2 cups of sugar. Bake pie crust flat on a cookie sheet pan sprayed with Pam. Bake as directed on box or till slightly brown. As soon as pie comes out slather it with butter. In a large glass bowl, layer crust (doesn’t matter if it breaks apart) then strawberry mixture. repeat till bowl is full and the last layer is strawberries. Serve with cool whip.
